Para ello emplea conceptos de diversas disciplinas, como la neurobiología, la fenomenología, la semiótica y la crítica literaria. A partir de tres estudios de caso -el Panteón de Roma, la Pirámide del Sol de Teotihuacan y la Alhambra de Granada- la metodología de análisis aborda los distintos cambios y alteraciones físicas de los sitios y establece una correlación con grandes transformaciones sociales e intelectuales.
