La conquista del Polo Norte

El presente trabajo se debe a la pasión con que Solange Alberro se dedicó a recopilar la información, en México, en Estados Unidos y en España, acerca del Tribunal del Santo Oficio. Busca aclarar algunas dudas que impiden comprender realmente el significado de la Inquisición, la importancia de dicha institución en la Nueva España y su relación con la sociedad y el poder.

Todas las guerras generan sus trincheras. La elección de una de ellas depende de lo cerca que se quiera estar de la muerte, de la gloria o de la ignominia. En mayo de 1939, milicianos anarquistas del Servicio de Información Especial Periférico se escaparon del campo de Albatera. Recorrieron 600 kilómetros para matar al cacique de su pueblo antes de emprender el exilio francés. Todo salió mal. Uno de ellos, enfrentado a la Guardia Civil, murió matando.
