Son de destacar, de lo poco construido, las estructuras de hierro de los tinglados y cobertizos, con el acierto formal para la imagen del puerto de elegir la cubierta en bóveda rebajada desde 1880, manteniéndola en las sucesivas ampliaciones. The guide is divided in 3 sections: the first, the largest and medullar part of the book is the presentation of the buildings; a second section is an inventory of buildings important in the history of the city but now disappeared, and a third section includes location maps with recommended itineraries and routes.
